Uses
Here’s a list of some of the hardware, software and tools that I use
Workstation
- TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14, i7-12700H, 64GB RAM- I use this one as my work machine. It can handle high loads pretty smoothly and works like a charm with most linux Distros.
- Samsung 49" QLED Gaming Monitor- I’m not a gamer, but this one replaces a setup made out of two monitors pretty nicely.
- Logitech K120 Keyboard- Tried many fancier options in terms of keyboards, but nothing beats the simplicty of this one.
- Logtech MX Vertical Mouse- My wrist is thankful for this one.
Development tools
- PopOS- I tried most of the Linux distros but I find PopOS the best fit for me. I use it for both work and personal stuff.
- Tilix- I love to customizability for this one. Need to change some defaults to have it the way I want it, but it’s much nicer than the default.
- DbGate- It’s maybe not the most feature-rich database client, but it’s super snappy, open-source and one of the best options for Linux.
Photography
- Nikon D3300- Got this one quite a while ago but it still holds up pretty good. I use it to take pictures from time to time. Usually I post them on my Instagram account
- RawTherapee- I use this one for raw photo editing. It’s one of the best open-source applications I found for this.
Productivity
- PopOS launcher- PopOS offers a really nice launcher to which you can add plugins and scripts.
- Obsidian- This one is my current choice when it comes to note taking. It’s quite versatile and there are many community built plugins.
